Pamela worked closely with SADD in her role as Senior Education Advisor at Waka Kotahi. During this time, she delivered customer-centred behaviour change education programmes. As the subject matter expert in road safety education in schools, a key part of this work was keeping up to date with best practice education methodology, international research and behaviour change philosophies. The programme engaged extensively with external stakeholders which included the privilege of working with the SADD team, participating in SADD workshops and events, and witnessing their growing strength as a significant force behind tackling deaths and injuries in young people on New Zealand’s roads.

Previous to these roles, Pamela was a secondary school teacher and Associate Principal. She has also worked at the Wellington Division of the Cancer Society, and the Ministry of Health, and is currently at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.

Pamela is a wife, mum, daughter and auntie and has a fabulous cat called Harry.
