Kia ora koutou!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to one of our 3 conference events this year. We had such a great time getting to know you all and are so impressed by the incredible work you all produced!

On this page you will find a range of resources to help you succeed with the SADD programme following conference, including all the slides from our presentations, photos from the events, a follow up guide and tips to get going with SADD in school this term. We would really love to hear from you so please reach out to your Programme Delivery Lead to say hi and let them know what you want to do this term and how they can help.

We hope you all had a great time at conference, we would love to see some of you back next year! In the meantime, keep in touch and good luck with your activities this term!

Let us know your thoughts!

We know you all filled out an evaluation on the last day of conference but we also want to know how you feel now that you are back at school! This one is a super quick check in and everyone who completes it will go in the draw for a SADD merch pack including tees and badges for your group - win!

Did you receive funding to attend?

If you received funding (from SADD or from your local Community Partner) then it is important that you complete some follow up tasks. This is something that everyone who applied for sponsorship agreed to in their application and our team will be providing support and guidance to help you fulfill this commitment.

We have put together a ‘Funding Recipient Guide’ to help step you through what you need to do following conference.

We’ve loaded copies of each presentation from conference so you have access to notes and info from each. If there is any particular info you are after that’s not included then just reach out to us and we will sort you out.

Use the above links to access photo galleries for each event. Please be respectful of others and only download pictures that are relevant for yourself for appropriate use regarding your conference experience.

At conference and since then, we have talked a lot about how it’s not all over now that the events are in the past. Conference is designed to give you a spark, connections, a sense of community and to inspire your drive for raising awareness and delivering road safety messaging to your peers. We strongly encourage you to take the next step and continue the momentum kicked off at conference.

There are many opportunities to get involved this term and throughout the rest of 2024. Check out the ‘What’s next?’ slides above for a refresher or have a look at the following sections of our website for further information and inspiration:

  • Road Safety Week (20th to 26th May). The perfect time to run an activity, raise awareness and stand up for road safety!

  • Leadership Programmes. Applications are open now for all year 12s (or all year levels for our Māori Advisory Rōpū).

  • Activities and Resources Hub. This is where you can find all sorts of ideas for activities you can run in your school that range from quick and simple to the more in depth campaigns

  • Connect with your Community Partners. Collaboration is key! Our team can support you in connecting with your local road safety partners.

  • Interactive video. This is a great resource to get people talking about choices and consequences.
