Term One check in with Renee
On today’s blog Renee (our Central North Island Delivery Lead), gives us a bit of an update from her part of the world about what she has been up to this term.
“Kia ora team, Wow, what a crazy start to 2023!!
Some things I have had to really practise at the start of this year are problem solving, how to adapt, and resilience.
We have had a rough ride in the North Island this term due to weather, and my heart goes out to everyone affected. Kia Kaha team, our thoughts are with you.
So my term has done a bit of a handstand, but not to worry we are back on track.
A lot of my workshops have had to be postponed to later dates in the term, instead of starting earlier in the term. I am so lucky to be working beside great teachers and Kaitiaki o ara/SADD students, that are eager to hit the ground running for 2023.
This week I have just wrapped up doing an awesome workshop in Gisborne with Campion College and what can I say, I can't wait to see your plans play out through the year!
Over the next few weeks I am looking forward to running workshops all around the Waikato, from Whitianga to Taupō. We have keen students that are really excited to learn more about SADD and our new rebrand, monthly themes, and Road Safety Week in May.
April’s theme is focused on speed.
May’s theme is focused on restraints and vehicle safety.
And last but not least from May 9th-15th is Road Safety Week.
Haere rā for now
Thanks, Renee”
