En route with Renee

Our Central North Island Programme Delivery Lead, Renee, has been very busy in her regions so far this term! In this blog post she shares just a few of the many events and visits she has been involved with over the past few weeks.

Wow!!!

What a crazy start to Term 1, where do I start?

I had an amazing couple of days in Gisborne with Campion College, Gisborne Girls and Gisborne Boys. What can I say, there are going to be some awesome road safety activities being shared around the East Coast this year.

Following from my amazing trip in Gisborne, we had one of our National leaders, Harish Sawroop Meniya and SADD student, Jake Matheson, from Rotorua Boys High School present at the 2024 AA Conference in Napier.

Our young men’s presentation was about SADD and what activities they have done at their all boys college.

You guys were amazing!!

Up next was our mighty Waikato cluster workshop.

We had schools from all over the Waikato join the local councils, SADD and the New Zealand Police at the beautiful Don Rowland Conference Centre at Lake Karapiro. Students got to  work together on workshops, activities and learn more about the NZ Police booze bus and road safety issues. Our students had an amazing time collaborating with Road Safety Coordinators and Police from the Waikato, and spent the day coming up with road safety activities and messages to take back to their communities and schools.

All this and the term isn’t even over yet! Watch this space :)
