We understand that some students may find the conference registration fee a barrier to attending. To support students in need, we have set up a conference scholarship fund, from which we will be able to grant selected students partial or full funding towards their conference attendance costs.
If you are interested in applying for a conference grant, you will need to apply using the below form. The application form asks for details such as your experience with Kaitiaki o Ara/SADD so far, your goals and aspirations and specifics around your travel needs. Please ensure you provide as much detail as possible so that your application has the best chance at being considered.
There are a limited number of grants on offer. Grants can be used for the registration fee ($185) or a portion of this, and/or a contribution towards travel costs. Grant recipients will be expected to provide feedback on their experience at conference and may be interviewed for social media, media and website content. Recipients will also be expected to commit staying engaged with the programme and run SADD activities in their school/community through 2024.
