Te Wiki o te Reo Māori 2022
Nau mai, haere mai! This page is dedicated to celebrating te Reo Māori resources and content created for Te Wiki o te Reo Māori by our Māori Advisory group. As per our Māori Engagement Strategy, our plan is to keep building on this mahi, involving SADD/Kaitiaki o Ara's rangatahi at all steps of the way.
Rerenga Kupu
Ko au te kaitaraiwa pai rawa o te ao…. Engari mō tēnā!
I am the best driver in the whole world… yeah right!
Ko tēnēi te wā.
Now is the time.
Mā te wai Māori e whakahaere i tō waka!
Water is the only fuel for your vessel!
We have a great rerenga kupu resource that you can use to help incorporate Te Reo into your road safety work. Download this document by clicking on the image below.
Ash worked with Wellington High School to develop Kaitiaki o Ara’s first Reo Māori road safety video. Check it out! If you head over to our Youtube channel you can see the version with English subtitles too.
Ngā mihi nui ki ngā tauira ki Te Kura Tuarua o Taraika ki Pukeahu mo tō mahi! We were very impressed with their creativity, confidence, and acting skills. Here are a couple of snaps and a little waiata from behind the scenes of our Reo Māori road safety video.

Check out our blog highlighting some of the mahi that went on to create these reo māori resources. This is just the start, we are wanting to create more reo māori resources that rangatahi can use to promote road safety to all communities.
If you would like to be involved with helping us achieve this goal of creating more reo māori resources, or are interested in finding out more about our Māori Advisory Group then please reach out, we would love to hear from you.
