Introducing Renee, Central North Island Delivery Lead
We are stoked to introduce you all to our new Central North Island Delivery lead, Renee. She is jumping on board to look after the Taupo, Rotorua, Tauranga, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Coromandel, and Hawkes Bay regions. Nau mai, haere mai Renee, great to have you as part of the team!
Tell us a little about yourself?
Kia ora, my name is Renee.
I am the mother of two boys and have been with my Tane/Husband for 22 years.
My iwi are Ngāti Whatua o Kaipara, and Tuwharetoa o Taupo. My Tane is Ngāti Porou. I went to high school in Sydney Australia and grew up in the Coromandel Peninsula, and I have lived in the Bay of Plenty since 2010. I have worked in schools all over the Bay teaching tamariki about values and coaching in sports. My passion is to work with youth and give them the tools to make the right choices and help them to be awesome leaders.
What excites you about working with SADD?
Working for SADD to me means I can work alongside our youth to help empower them and mentor our youth to have a voice and to show and share ways and knowledge on how to be safe on our roads.
What does Road Safety mean to you?
Road safety to me means that we all need to make the right choices while we are on our roads.
Whether you are a pedestrian, or in a vehicle. It's about trying to prevent injuries and deaths on our roads.
You are stuck on a deserted island, what three things do you take with you?
Corn: I love popcorn, cornbread, and sweet corn.
Potatoes: mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, and french fries.
Water: I love water.
Where is your favourite place to go on holiday and why?
Thailand, I was a muay Thai fighter for years, love the islands, love the food, and love the people.
Make sure you say hi if Renee reaches out to you!
